Lynn E. Guerin

During his years at SHS, Lynn Guerin was an excellent student and outstanding athlete, earning varsity letters in four sports. After his senior football season, he was selected All-Ohio second team and named to the North squad for the state all-star game in Canton, Ohio. Lynn was a member of the undefeated 1965 Whippet squad that was ranked 10th statewide. His performance punctuated a remarkable comeback from a serious industrial accident that occurred just prior to his senior season. Lynn earned an athletic scholarship to Western Michigan University where he earned his BA and MA degrees in Liberal Arts and International Studies.

Lynn began his business career with sales and marketing positions with Johnson and Johnson and General Electric and then spent 17 years with Sandy Corporation, a premier consulting, training and performance improvement firm in Troy, Michigan. Lynn rose to executive-vice president and general manager of west coast operations, focusing on the launch of the Infiniti luxury car division of Nissan. He left Sandy Corporation to launch his own family firm in Tustin, California, whose mission is: To make a powerful impact on the businesses we serve and the lives we touch; to help our clients and our team become the best they are capable of becoming in the marketplace and in life.

This mission is carried out in serving corporations, universities, schools and faith-based non-profit organizations. These major performance improvements, marketing communication and team development programs have been successfully completed with numerous Fortune 500 companies.

Lynn combines 30 years of broad experience as an accomplished executive, consultant, keynote speaker, facilitator & motivator with in-depth knowledge and skill in management and coaching, marketing, strategic planning, business communication, dealer and team development.

For 12 years Lynn had the unique privilege of partnering with an American treasure – the late, legendary UCLA basketball coach John R. Wooden (and his family) – in conceiving, designing, developing and delivering the John R. Wooden Course: “Timeless Wisdom for Personal and Team Success,” a curriculum designed to teach values, character, leadership and pyramid of success behavior. Lynn continues teaching The Wooden Way – the timeless foundations and principles that produced Coach Wooden’s remarkable success and life.

Lynn lives in Corona, California, with his wife Tracy. He has two sons – Kyle, a marketing manager in the dental industry, and Cole, age 10. He also has a grandson – Wade. Lynn coaches Little League baseball, is a member of The Village Church of Irvine, serving as a leader and teacher for men’s ministry. He is a speaker on the Prayer Breakfast Network and also serves on the board of directors of Joni and Friends, the disability outreach of Joni Eareckson Tada.
